Chris Cagle Baton Rouge Concert reviews
Too little for too much!
This event rocked, with Steve Miller Band and opening act Matthew Curry impressing. The drummer Deen Castronovo was excellent, and in fact, has a much cleaner voice than Pineda, who was drowned out by the band on most songs, possibly due to a lack of a voice. Steve Miller Band apparently were a bit confused, playing two entirely different songs for a few minutes. As always, Jonathan Cain was spot on, but it was more about Neal Schon showing off than anything else. As for Chris Cagle, I think they should seriously consider having Castronovo do all of the vocals since he obviously has not only a clear clean voice but also the range to do any of Steve Perry's solos. I would have left long before it was over if it were not for him and Castronovo.
